RCHS Senior Reserved Parking Space 2018-2019

July 25th - June 7th, 2019

$50

We are so excited to announce that this year, RCHS will make available to Senior drivers the ability to rent and paint/personalize a parking space on campus.

Senior parking spaces are located in the new SENIOR PARKING LOT! There are only 35 spaces, so availability will be on a first come first served basis, based on the order in which payments are received. Only online payments will be accepted.

It is the student’s responsibility to come up with an appropriate design for their parking space. All paint designs must be approved by Mr. Swanson BEFORE a student may move forward with painting/personalization of their space during the scheduled painting days. Painting days will happen near the start of the 2018-2019 school year. Approval can be obtained by bringing your design to Mr. Swanson in the HS office along with the attached Senior Parking Space Guidelines contract, complete with parent and student signatures.

It is imperative that each renter adheres to the guidelines and rules with enthusiasm and the appropriate Eagle Spirit in order for this senior opportunity to continue! We hope this will be a fun and memorable new tradition for our Seniors!

Tuesday Night: Precept Upon Precept - Acts (Part 1) 9/4/18 - 1/29/19 - 388

September 4th - January 29th, 2019

$25

Welcome ladies! You are invited to join our group for an in-depth Bible study of the book of Acts. We will meet weekly in the Struikman's Conference Room in the West Campus Building, on Tuesdays from 6:30pm - 8:30pm (September 4, 2018 - January 29, 2019)

Part 1 of this study will cover the first 12 chapters and will run from September through January. Here's what to expect from these chapters:

Jesus sent the Holy Spirit, empowering the apostles to testify to the power of God in salvation and in living every day for the gospel. Learn how God spread the gospel through witnesses of Jesus' death and resurrection, and from their examples, how you too can witness to others. Stand in awe of the power of God in believers to endure persecution and suffering for the cause of Christ and embrace His power in your life. Be encouraged by the results of faithful servants holding for the truth in a dark world; watch as the church grows numerically, geographically, and culturally.

If your heart's desire is to get to know Him more, to strengthen and deepen your relationship with your Lord and Savior, interact with Him in His Word as you study inductively, precept upon precept.

With busy and working women in mind, each lesson is divided into two weeks, giving you time to do the homework in order to make the most of your learning experience, and to give you time to take in His message for you personally and to share with others.

Childcare is not available for this study.

Acts Part 2 will immediately follow this study beginning February 5, 2019.

We are looking forward to studying with you.

In His love and grace.

                                           Observation
                                                             Interpretation

September 13th - November 15th, 2018

$26

Join us as we go through the Sermon on the Mount with Jen Wilkin. There will be a time of meeting friends, worship, and study.

Sermon on the Mount by Jen Wilkin - In His sweeping depiction of kingdom citizenship, Jesus utters some of the most familiar passages in all of Scripture. Most of us have only encountered the Sermon on the Mount in fragments, considering its subdivisions as complete teachings in their own right. But what if we navigated these three chapters in Matthew as they were originally heard: as one cohesive, well-ordered message, intended to challenge us to think differently.

Come and learn from Jesus. Child care is available up to 5th grade.

We will gather together in the Central Campus Building, Thursdays from 6:30pm - 8:30pm, September 13, 2018 - November 15, 2018.

RCMS 7th Grade Science Camp: Catalina

October 15th - October 17th, 2018

$350

This October, our 7th grade students are going on a learning adventure to beautiful Catalina Island! At this fabulous biology-based life science camp, students will engage in snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, examining tide pools, and conducting scientific studies. What we learn will coincide with, and bring to life, our classroom science studies for the school year. The camp is run by Guided Discoveries, who also run Astrocamp in Idyllwild (our 8th grade trip). While camp is fun, exciting, and educational, it also teaches children practical life skills. By working in small teams to accomplish goals, students learn to get along with others in a group living situation and forge stronger friendships. The very nature of the experience encourages personal responsibility, initiative, and independence. Camp is an opportunity to develop character.
